When it comes to sporty coupes (and sporty four-door models that are called coupes because of their looks), there are plenty of models on the market. One we are definitely excited about is the new Volkswagen Arteon. The 2018 Volkswagen Arteon Geneva Auto Show debut has recently been confirmed. Keep reading to learn what we know about this future model and see a couple of teaser photographs.

2018 Volkswagen Arteon Geneva Auto Show Debut
While some publications have been able to get teasers of the all-new Volkswagen Arteon, the first official unveiling will be at that 2017 Geneva Auto Show, running March 9-19. This new Volkswagen four-door fastback model will be positioned over the Volkswagen Passat and will be loaded with luxury features. Its style combines avant-garde design with versatility and practicality. We don’t have details on dimensions or features, but passenger space and leg room should be generous.
New Front Design on the VW Arteon
One of the most striking features of the new Volkswagen Arteon will be the front design. The grille, LED headlights and Daytime Running Lights should merge into a seamless line that looks bold and sleek at the same time. A recent VW press release also highlighted the vehicles new shoulder section, though that is more difficult to see in the available teaser images.
2018 VW Arteon Safety Features
We don’t know much yet about the 2018 Volkswagen Arteon (including whether or not it actually is going to be produced for the 2018 model year), but Volkswagen has noted that it will come with a host of advanced driver assistance features that are generally only available on luxury automobiles. Whether that means standard forward collision alerts and emergency braking, or more exotic technology like the ATTENTION ASSIST® standard on the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLA, we don’t yet know.
We will not have the new Volkswagen Arteon in our pre-owned Volkswagen inventory for quite some time here at Certified Autoplex, but we are still excited about the possibilities that it offers.
