Can you believe Thanksgiving is just a few days away? Neither can we, but we want to make sure everyone has the best weekend possible. That’s why our team here at Certified Autoplex is putting together a list of holiday lighting events taking place the first few days after thanksgiving to kick off the season. Where to Donate Food near Dallas, TX
Thanksgiving is all about being thankful and helping others, but that doesn’t have to stop after Thursday. One way to make the holidays even more enjoyable is to continue to gift of giving throughout the rest of the season and throughout the year to come. Christmas in the Square
Simpson Plaza at City Hall
Starting promptly on Friday, Nov. 25, the town of Frisco will light up with Christmas on the Square events through Jan. 1, 2017. There is a light and music show every night from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., and these start this Friday! Carriage rides are also available Thursdays through Sundays from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. However, these will not be available on Dec. 25. Snow flurries will fall every 15 minutes on Fridays and Saturdays, and guest are welcome to skate the square on the real outdoor ice rink. There’s so much more to learn – find out details here!
Parade of Lights
Historic Downtown Grapevine
If you’re looking for the largest lighted Christmas parade in North Texas, then you’ve definitely come to the right place. Bring the whole family to downtown Grapevine for the annual Parade of Lights next Thursday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. It will feature more than 100 lighted floats and marching bands. This event is free for all to enjoy. Grapevine is located 30 minutes outside of Dallas, and there will be holiday events throughout the rest of the year. Check them out here!
Prairie Lights
Lynn Creek park in Grand Prairie
This is the ultimate holiday lights display, and it starts on Thanksgiving night. Prairie Lights features four million lights along a two mile path with hundreds of new displays this year that you won’t want to miss. Guests will be able to hop out halfway through at the Holiday Village for food, gifts and Santa. There is an all-new indoor laser show as well as the Holiday Magic Lighted Walk-Through Forest. Six Flags in Arlington is hosting a ‘Holiday in the Park’ event now through the end of the year. There will be more than one million lights throughout the amusement park as well as choirs, carolers, Santa and tons of holiday treats. This is definitely something you won’t want to miss.
