Redding Trail Dog Park
Location: 14677 Proton Drive in Dallas
The Redding Trail Dog Park is the closest location to Carrollton, and it’s located just over ten minutes outside of town. According to online reviews, this park is perfect for smaller dog breeds. The park provides guest with bags for animal waste disposal in an effort to keep the park clean for future guests. It also has water fountains, so keeping your dog properly hydrated shouldn’t be an issue. The park is fenced in, and there are two sections depending on the size of your dogs and how active they are.
Coppell Dog Park
Location: 400 South MacArthur Boulevard in Coppell
This park is open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., however it is closed on Wednesdays for maintenance including mowing the lawn and cleaning up the park. Like the previous suggestion, this park is located just ten minutes outside of Carrollton. Park goers must respect the safety of other guests and their dogs by following the rules and regulations of this park. There is a section for small dogs and large dogs, and dogs must be off-leash when they’re in the park. Children must be over the age of ten in order to join in, and there are no more than three dogs allowed per owner. More information can be found on the park’s website.
Lewisville Railroad Dog Park
Location: 1301 South Railroad Street in Lewisville
This six acre dog park is located just over ten minutes outside of Carrollton in Lewisville. The park is open from March 1 to October 31 from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. and November 1 to February 28 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. One acre of the park is dedicated to small dogs, and the rest of the park is open for larger breeds. Each section has a covered seating area for owners to comfortably watch after their dog, and the entrance area includes waste disposal and water fountains.
