Safety Tips for Fall Driving
It may not seem like a huge deal, but weather change can also mean a change for your driving habits. One major factor is the Autumn Equinox, which makes the sun much more intense right after the sunrise and right before the sunset. There is also a lot of wildlife that is active this time of year, including deer, and they can become hazardous on the roadways.
Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch
5100 Cross Timbers Road in Flower Mound
If you’re looking for a variety of pumpkins and squash to choose from, then this is your spot. It’s located about 30 minutes west of Carrollton, but we promise it’s worth the trip. Wagons are provided in the pumpkin patch for both children and pumpkins. There are plenty of other activities to enjoy as well including hay mazes, hayrides, bounce houses and playgrounds. Everyone is encouraged to donate a canned food item during their visit in the season of giving. More information is available here.
Hall’s Pumpkin Farm & Corn Maze
3420 Hall – Johnson Road in Grapevine
This pumpkin patch is located even closer than the previous one. It’s about 20 minutes west of Carrollton in Grapevine, and it’s open daily through October 31. General admission is free, but there are additional costs to participate in the corn maze and the hayrides. There are plenty of pumpkins to choose from, and you’ll even get a chance to see how they grow! Kettle corn is a big hit if you’re looking for a snack, and it pairs perfectly with hot cider.
